Recently I had the pleasure of doing this beauty’s bridal makeup and it was made all the more special because I went to school with her husband Alasdair. We actually didn’t find that out until I did her makeup trial, so that was a nice surprise, it really is a small world.
Like the majority of my brides Hannah was looking for a natural but defined makeup look that enhanced her own beauty and made her feel polished on the day. We went for a rosy mauve lip, which doesn’t translate so much in the photos since the style of them is more of a muted feel, and a creamy, gold eye with some dark brown liner, lots of mascara and a few indidvidual lashes.
The morning was a relaxed time of getting ready and I don’t think I’ve experienced such a calm environment before but that is testament to how laid back a person Hannah is. Her dress was stunning and I especially loved her vintage lacy veil, reminiscent of something from a bygone era. Thanks to This Modern Love for the gorgeous photos.
